OBITUARY

The death occurred in Brisbane on June 28, of Lieutenant Edward Henry Taylor, who, from 1903 to 1911. was an officer of the Lands and Survey Department at Napier. In 1901 he joined the Napier draft of the Seventh New Zealand Contingent for the Boer War, Colonel Porter, Gisborne, in command. On his return to Napier at the end of the war lie rejoined the Government service. Two years later he resigned and went to Australia. When the First World War began he joined the Queensland Light Horse and saw service in Palestine.
