AMERICAN MILLIONS ADVICE OF TREASURER (Reed. Aug. 9, .1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 8. The Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Ifenry Morgenthau has asked Congress to tax millions of additional persons with small incomes, to reduce exemptions and to stiffen taxes on married couples, corporations and others. Mr. Morgenthau said the tax bill should at least be increased from £801,500,00 to £875,000,000.
