GERMANS AND ITALIANS RESIDENTS IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 8. The Ministry of Labour announced that the registration of Germans and Italians in Britain will be carried out during the next fortnight. The object of registration, which will be on the same lines as the recent registration of Allied and French nationals, is to enable the best use to be made of a large body of people who are well disposed to the Allied cause. Every man between 16 and 65 years and every woman between 16 and 50 years must register, except those serving in the forces, prisoners of war, and those interned.
