INCREASED OUTPUT
TANKS, GUNS AND PLANES AMERICAN FACTORIES (Reed. Aug. 9, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 8. The production of light tanks has increased many-fold since the beginning of the year. It is learned that upwards of 225 tanks are being delivered monthly. Moreover, it is revealed that increases in medium tanks amount to 237 per cent, of machine-guns to 69 per cent, of smokeless powder to 126 per cent, of T.N.T. to 46 per cent, of bombing-planes to 46 per cent, and of training planes to 40 per cent. The total of plane deliveries in six months was 7423.
