SUBMARINE RAMMED
BRITISH CRAFT SUNK ITALY LOSES VESSEL (Reed. Aug. 5,2 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 4. An Italian communique reports that an Italian torpedo-boat sank the British submarine Cachalot, which was rammed and cut in half. Ninety-one members of the crew were saved. The communique admits the loss of an Italian submarine operating in the Atlantic.
