Miss Betty Quinn left to-day for Hastings, where she intends to reside. Advice has been received by Mr. and Mrs. E. Innes-Jones, Hamilton, that their son, PilOt-Ofli-cer Melville Innes-Jones, Royal Air Force, has been appointed a navigational instruction officer in Canada. PilotOfficer Innes-Jones has been a member of the Royal Air Force in England for seven years. He was seriously wounded in action last year. Mr. F. W. Furkert, former engineer-in-chief of the Public Works Department, arrived at Gisborne yesterday for the purpose of investigating borough water supply proposals, and to-day visited Waingake and Mangapoike sites. ,
