WAR WEAPONS WEEK

Last week Maidenhead and Windsor held a war weapons week. Both towns set out to raise £125.000, and a challenge was made as to which would raise most. The totals, issued simultaneously, show that Windsor won by £315. It raised £712,358 against Maidenhead’s £712,043. The losing Mayor will pay for dinner to the winning Mayor.
