First Soldier Repatriated
The first soldier to return from the present war and be repatriated lias .commenced .work with an engineering firm in Napier, after having been trained under the scheme established by the Government, the organiser of emergency training, Mr. A. W. Nisbet, told the Returned Soldiers’. Association conference in Wellington. The soldier went overseas in October, 1939. and returned 14 months later. He commenced his four months’ course of training in engineering at the beginning of last February.
