200 GERMANS ABOARD
FRENCH SHIP SEIZED BOUND FOR MARTINIQUE (British Official Wireless ) Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, June 2. The following Royal Netherlands naval communique has been issued by the Admiralty: “The French ship Winnipeg, of 8379 tons, has been intercepted by the Royal Netherlands warship Van Kinsbergen in West Indian waters. The Winnipeg had sailed from Marseilles and had called at Dakar. When intercepted she had on board over 200 Germans bound for Martinique. The reason for the presence of these Germans is . not at all clear arid is now undergoing examination.
