EAGLE PLUMES FOR R.A.F.
LONDON, April 10. Chief Whirling Thunder, head of a lodge of the Indian Council Fire, Chicago Red Indian Society, has sent eagle feathers to Britain to be given to Royal Air Force men as a mark of esteem. Some of the featheis have now been awarded to a small group of pilots who have specially distinguished themselves. In Indian symbolism an eagle feather is a token of courage. "
