NORWEGIAN WHALERS
CAPTURED BY GERMANS (Reed. May 31, 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 30. The Norwegian authorities confirm an American report that the Germans have captured two Norwegian whaling factory ships in the Antarctic. The crews were landed in Germanoccupied territory and placed in a prison camp under rigorous conditions. A third vessel has now been captured. They are named Pelagos, Olewegger, and Solglint. They carried a total of 150 barrels of oil.
