FLYING CROSS AWARD
DOMINION PILOT (Por Press Aagocintion.) WELLINGTON, this clay. Advice has been received by Air Headquarters, Wellington, that the Distinguished Flying Cross has been awarded to Acting-Flight Lieutenant Cuthbert Raymond. Flight - Lieutenant Raymond was born in Waipukurmi in 1916 and was educated at Christ’s College where he took a prominent part in sporting activities. He was selected for a short-service commission in June, 1939, but at the outbreak of war lie commenced training at Rongotai and left New Zealand in April, 1940. His next-ol'-kin is his father, Mr. C. Raymond, Waipukurau.
