FEARS OF SABOTAGE
U.S. DEFENCE PLANTS EXTENSIVE PATROLS (Reed. May 31, 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 30. Fear of sabotage on Memorial Day resulted in military and cival guards being summoned overnight to watch defence plants from coast to coast, says the correspondent of the Associated Press of America. Anti-aircraft ■ guns were placed bn Californian plane factories and also pursuit plans. The military authorities state that these were tactical manoeuvres. At the San Francisco and Los Angeles waterfronts, extra guards were on patrol.
