RESTRICTED BOMBING
RAIDERS OVER BRITAIN DAMAGE TO HOUSES (British Cilicia! Wireless.) Reed. 11.20 a.m. RUGBY, May 30. A communique issued by the Air Ministry . and Ministry of Home Security states: “There was very little activity over this country during the night. Bombs which were dropped at a point on the south coast caused neither damage nor casualties.” Enemy air activity on Thursday was very slight, only a few enemy aircraft crossed the coast and up to 8 p.m. no reports of any bombs having been dropped were received. A second enemy bomber was destroyed over Britain on Wednesday, night. The bodies of the Mayor and Mayoress of a south-east coast town whose home was demolished by a bomb were recovered from the wreckage of the house.
A raider which bombed-a south-east coast town to-day severely damaged seven bungalows. A small number of people were injured. Other bombs damaged 20 cottages further inland. No casualties are reported.
