“I am probably one the few soldiers of the last war who is still fit and in good health. I have just returned from a three months’ Territorial camp and will shortly be entering camp to go overseas again, and 1 want to say that 1 came out of that Territorial camp with a very different opinion ol the youth of to-day from what I had when I went in,” said Mr. J. H. Winter at the Farmers’ Union conference in Hastings. Mr. Winter added that he found the younger generation of to-day courteous and considerate, apart from being good soldiers, and .he felt sure .that the future >vas spfe ih their,hands.
