REGISTRATION PLAN
• BRITISH WORKMEN SHIPYARDS SPEED-UP (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Rita. 28. Men Over 20 years Of age who within the p&St 15 years ha’Ce bi?eh engaged for not less than i2 months in one of about SO occupations which are detailed are required uhder the industrial registration (No. 1 order) to register at the local offices of the Ministry of Labour and National SCrvice. The Minister of National Service, Mr. El-nest BeCin, has made this order as part of the plans for speeding up the output of shipyards. The men are required to register even though the firm for which they are working is engaged 100 per cent on Government work.
An exception is made in the case of men who on February 24 were already employed on shipbuilding or shiprepairing work, the object of the order being to identify men not at present employed in shipyards.
