Unclaimed Goods Sold
Unclaimed goods offered on behalf of the Police Department attracted much attention at Harwich's Mart this morning, and prices were well up to the values set on the various lots. A small lot of beer, totalling 1G quart bottles, realised £1 Is, and a good price, £3 ss, was given for a woman’s bicycle in good order. Men’s bicycles, of ancient vintage in the main, made from £1 7s Gd to £2 10s. Several firearms, all of old models, were offered, a .22 rifle making £1 15s, two ,44's bringing £1 7s Gd and £1 10s, and a shotgun selling for £1 15s. Watches sold at £2 apd £2 ss, and a number of new diamond rings brought from £1 15s to £6 10s and £7.
