TASMAN AIR SERVICE

AOTEAROA FROM SYDNEY PASSENGERS AND MAIL (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Tasman Empire Airways flying-boat, Aotearoa, commanded by Captain Oscar Garden, arrived from Sydney yesterday with 13 passengers, a number of whom will leave for America by the Honolulu Clipper to-day. The flying-boat left Sydney at 6.14 a.m., New Zealand time, and alighted on the Waitemata harbour at 3.30 p.m. after an uneventful, trip. The passengers were Dr. H. R. Braak, Dr. W. Fischel, Messrs. G. J. Aldous, H. C. Dovey, A. Milner, E. Schabe, T. H. Slater, F. Wiltshire, Mrs. W. Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Harwig and two daughters. The Aotearoa carried about 11001 b. of mail and a small quantity of freight. The company’s flying-boat Awarua, under the command of Captain Garden, left at 6 o’clock this morning for Sydney and will return on Sunday afternoon. The Awarua will carry 11 passengers and over 10001 b. of mail.
