FREE SERVICES
HOSPITAL OUT-PATIENTS PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS AVAILABLE TO-DAY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The free services to out-patients at public hospitals, which will be available from to-day, were outlined by the Minister of Healtfi, the Hon. A. H.'Nordmeyer, yesterday. Four services will not be included in the meantime.
The services free include all the general medical and surgical services, consultation, and treatment which are at present available, specialist medical and surgical services where already provided, X-ray treatment, radium treatment, endothermy, ultraviolet and infra-red ray treatment, electrocardiographic work, massage and physiotherapy. The services excluded are dental treatment, drugs, medicines, and appliances, X-ray diagnostic services, and laboratory services. The Minister said that these last four services would be brought in as supplementary benefits later.
