NATIONAL GOVERNMENT DURATION OF WAR OFFER BY MR., HOLLAND (Per Press Association.) ' WELLINGTON, this day. - The Dominion council of the New Zealand National Party, after full discussion yesterday, unanimously resolved to confirm the offer and suggestion made to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. S. G. Holland, that members elected to Parliament at the general election should hold office for the duration’ of the war and that both the Labour Party and the National Party should undertake to form a National Government, regardless of which party has a majority of seats. Confirmation was also given by the Dominion council, so far as the National Party is concerned, to the arrangement that the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition should do everything in their power to get their supporters to vote solidly at the next general election for members of Parliament who are on active service and who seek re-election. The arrangement' is that this should be done regardless of the party to which the absent soldier-member belongs.
