KAITARATAHI NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) The children of the Kaitaratahi school had their annual picnic at the Waihirere Domain under ideal weather conditions. Those who secured swimming certificates were:—TweAy-five yards, B. White, N. Croon, I. W. Watten, and S. Symons; 50yds., P. White, E. Shelton, C. Mullooiy, J. Atkins, and C. flatten; 22'0yds„ P. Croon. A euchre party was held in the Kaitaratahi Hall this week, there being a fair attendance of card en r thusiasts. The prize-winners were; Ladies.—Mrs. A. McTcnnan, 1; Miss F. Croon, 2. Gentlemen.—Mr. J. Lucas, 1; Mr. H. Eagle, 2. Those present included Mcsdamcs E. Stevens, J. Lucas, W. Young, J. Atkins, M. Brown, A. McLennan, G. Croon, L. Crosswell, and A. Buckingham; Misses E. Tuapawa, M. Stephenson, F. Croon and N. Whelan. Mrs. M. James, who has been ft patient in Rostrevor Hospital, has returned home much improved in health.
