Highet left on Tuesday to commence his training at Trentham military camp.—Mr. A. L. Seafle and Master Leonard Searle are spending the week-end in Napier.— Mrs. H.' Taylor, jun„ is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, sen., Taneatiia.—Mrs. E. W. Fairlie left on Friday to spend a week with her parents at Hicks Bay. —Mr. and Mrs. A. O. K. Sim were visitors to Gisborne yesterday.—Mr. J. Roberts, Tuai, was a visitor to Kopuawhara on Thursday. REFORMATIVE DETENTION (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. In the Supreme Court Arthur Douglas Wylie, who was found guilty on four charges of false pretence's ;(nd one charge of attempted false pretences, was sentenced to jtyvo years’ reformative detention.
