12 MONTHS’ GAOL
PRISONER FROM QPOTIKI A period of imprisonment for 12 months was the sentence imposed by Mr. Justice Johnston in the 'Supreme Court yesterday on Henry George David Warrington, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering and theft at Opolilci. Mr. L. T. Burnard, who said that the accused was described by a witness as eccentric, asked His Honour to admit the accused to probation. His Honour said that the accused's statement to the police disclosed a deliberate crime. He had three previous convictions. The accused might be rather abnormal, but his abnormalities might be an early growth of Criminal instinct that might be developing. He was sentenced to prison tor 12 months.
