SIR HEATON RHODES
EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY MESSAGE FROM KING (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, M.L.C., yesterday celebrated his eightieth birthday. Among the many messages of congratulation received from all parts of the Dominion and overseas, was one from the King which read: “The Queen and I send you our warm congratulations on your eightieth birthday. We have recollections of the time when you accompanied us during our visit to New Zealand and we send you our best wishes for your future health and happiness.” (Signed) George R.I.
