BASIC WAGE RISES
WESTERN AUSTRALIA (Reed. Feb. 27, 2.50 p.m.) PERTH, Feb. 27. Increases in the West Australian basic wage have been ordered by the State Arbitration Court. In the metropolitan area the basicwage would be increased by Is 7d to £4 6s lid weekly and in the southwest by Is 2d to £4 7s 8d and in the goldfields by Is lOd to £5 2s Id.
