HURRICANE IN FIJI
FOUR SOLDIERS HURT TROOPS AID PRAISED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Government has received advice from Suva that the recent hurricane fasted for eight hours. The wind reached a velocity of 110 miles an hour with torrential rain. Trees were stripped and uprooted. Some damage was done to civil buildings and camps and four soldiers received minor injuries. The weather is now fine and the situation normal. Warm appreciation has been expressed for the assistance given by tile military forces to the Government departments in restoring communications and also for the help rendered to the civil population.
