BOWLS TOURNAMENT
MOST SUCCESSFUL RECORD WAIROA ENTRIES (Special to tlic Herald.) WAIROA, this day. The Wairoa Bowling Club’s greens Were occupied at the week-end with an annual tournament. There were 24 teams, which included visitors from several other centres and the tournament was the most successful ever held in Wairoa. In A Section McKenzie’s rink (Poverty Bay) emerged the whiner, defeating Coleman's rink (Wairoa) in the play-off. McKenzie's rink alsb beat the winner of the B Section. Wootten's rink (Kahiitia).
