Kapuni, Auckland, October 21; COASTAL TRADE The Wainui di-chnrged southern cargo at Gisborne to-day and sailed for Wellington, ihence Lyttelton and Dunedin, to load for Napier and Gisborne. The Poolia leaves Greymouth to-day for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Pakura arrived at Gisborne this morning from Lyttelton and Wellington. The vessel departed this afternoon for Wellington. Napier ancl Lyttelton. The Kopara loads at Auckland on Thursday and at Portland on Friday for Gisborne, arriving here on Monday. The Awahou left Auckland last night for Gisborne and after discharge here to-morrow proceeds to Napier and Auckland. The Margaret VV. clears Auckland to-day for Tokomaru Bay. Tolaga Bay and Gisborne, in order to discharge general cargo here on Friday. The Kapuni is due at Auckland -tomorrow from Gisborne and Tolaga Bay. The vessel will load at Auckland on Friday and return to Gisborne on Monday. SHIPS TOUCH BAR Two of the larger types -of vessels working the port touched the outer bar in leaving Greymouth on Monday. No damage was caused in either case and the ships proceeded on their journeys. Soundings were taken before the vessels sailed and were satisfactory, but as is often the case with westerly weather, there were occasional major swells which struck the boats, causing them to pitch and plough deep into the water. Both ships were fairly heavily laden. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS Auckland. —Oct. 15: Sailed, Awahou, G. 45 p.m„ for Gisborne.
