TE KARAKA NEWS
TEACHER FAREWELLED (Herald fiorreapondenl.) Prior to leaving for Trentham to attend the central military school of instruction, Lieutenant J. L. Clarkson was entertained at morning tea by the staff of the Tc Karaka District High School. Lieutenant Clarkson, who has been ■i member of the staff for several years, was tendered the good wishes of his fellow-teachers by the headmaster. Mr. R. N. Grono, who expressed their regret at his departure. Later the secondary department pupils assembled to farewell Lieutenant Clarkson. The senior boy, Alan Rowe, voiced their appreciation of the ready assistance given them by Lieutenant Clarkson and wished him success. Miss I. Gallic, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. L. B. Tullock, returned to Wellington on Friday.—Miss Harre has commenced duty as relieving teacher at the Te Karaka District High School.
