Makaraka Card Party
The weekly five-hundred card tournament was held in Makaraka last night when a record number of players took part, including visitors from Gisborne. Winners were: Table. —Mesdames Rogers and Dick, Messrs. W. Jonasen and R. Evans. Ladies. — Mrs. Len Berry. Gentlemen. —Mr. L. Jackson. Envelope.—Miss M. Rogers. Additional prizes.—Mrs. Marshall and Mrs. Stevens. Supper was provided by the ladies’ committee. When in Napier be sure to call at the “Home of Good Eats” —that’s the “Trocadero’V-HaaUnga Street.*
