SEAT IN COMMONS
MR. ERNEST BEVIN - (Reed. June 24, 9 a.m.) LONDON, June 22. Mr. Ernest Bevin, who was appointed as Minister of Labour and National Service in Mr. Winston Churchill’s Cabinet last month, becomes the member of the House of Commons for Central Wandsworth, being returned unopposed.
Mr. Bevin is t!ie general secretary of the Transport and General Workers’ Union and was chairman of the general council of the Trades Union Congress in 1937. He is 50 years of age. ■
