STILL IN ENGLAND
MISS JEAN BATTEN (Reed. June 24, 9 a.m.) LONDON, June 22. The New Zealand airwoman, Miss Jean Batten, is still in England. She was awaiting her turn to go to France, She is helping in the appeal for ambulances. Women’s organisations have presented four ambulances to the Government for field service on behalf of members of the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
