Why “Cobber" Kain?
None of Flying Officer “Cobber" Kain’s relatives in Wellington bar any idea how he became so named. No one in Wellington ever knew the crack ace of the Royal Air Force by any other name than Eddie. They assume that it must have been bestowed on /him bv his Australian friends fn The Royal Air Fp.rce. perhaps,,because of the alliteration and because he was a good companion to have along the highways of the sky.
