(Herald Correspondent.) Mr. E. A. Smith was admitted to Coolc Hospital on Tuesday and immediately underwent an operation for appendicitis. He' is progressing as well as can be expected. Mrs. C. JT. Mori and Don are spending a few days in Gisborne as the guests of the former's sister, Mrs. R. McKinley, Lytton road.—Mrs. R. FraVipis is visiting Gisborne.—Mrs. E. A. Smith and Gffry arc spending the week-end in Gisborne. —Mr. G. Vv King is visiting his mother in Auckland.
