The Scouts’ work includes the cutting of lav/ns and household wood. , Inquiries for the services of the boys have been numerous arid it is learned from the district commissioner, Mr. V. S. Cauiton. that the Scouts have taken to their voluntary tasks with enthusiasm. Mr. Cauiton explained that the services of the Scouts were available for all women, affected by their husbands’ enlistment and who were without the assistance of boys in the family able to carry out the tasks about their houses usually seen to by their husbands. Another work being carried out by the Scouts was the care of the grounds of the Y.M.C.A. for the duration of the war.
