KEEN GISBORNE BUYERS Cattle and sheep yarded at the Suatoria Stock Sale on Monday by the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company. Limited. and Messrs. Williams and Kettle. Limited, attracted keen competition 'or all classes of stock, the demand Doing mainly from Gisborne buyers, 'he sale was a good one. and the whole yarding changed hands. The sheep offered were mainly young sorts, including hoggets, twotooth ewes and wethers. The cattle were mostly station lines, quality generally being good, and the balance, wen though showing dairy type, were in fat and forward condition, beini bought for the export trade as honors. Quotations: — Sheep.—A good line of 260 2-th awes, on account of Mr. A. J. HTirkham. 20s Gd; other lines of good voung sheep, including empty 2-th awes. 16s 9d; wethers, fat and forward, 19s to 2is; 2 and 4-th store wethers. 16s Cd to 17s 9d: ewe hoggets, small, 9s to 12s 3d; old empty nves, 5s Gd to 7s 3d; better conditionid sorts, to 8s Cd; wether hoggets, Tiedium. 8s Gd to 10s 3d. Cattle. —Two and a half year staion steers, to £6 4s: 18-month station Jeers. £3 15s to £4 10s: wearier steers, veil grown, good condition, lo £3 12s: fat cows, station sorts, to £6; ial and forward Jersey cross cows. C 3 to G 4 10s.
