FAT SHEEP IMPROVE (Per Press Association.) HAMILTON, this day. Only a small yarding of fat sheep -ame forward at the Frankton stock sale on Tuesday, prime wethers, especially, being in short supply. Competition was keen and prices advanced slightly. Prices for fat ewes also improved. The fat cattle section consisted of a small yarding,of ox beef, tor which values remained firm, a medium entry of cow and heifer beef, which met good competition. Cattle. —Prime medium bullocks, £l2 10s to £l3; others, £ll 10s to 'l2 5s (id; prime light, £ll to £ll 8s; light. £lO to £lO 12s (Id; heavy prime heifers. £8 10s to £9; prime medium, £7 15s to £8 7s Gd; prime light, £7 to £7 10s; others, to £6 15s; heavy prime cows. £8 to £8 15s; prime medium. £7 5s to £7 15s; medium, £6 to £6 15s; light, to £5 12s Gd.
Sheep.—Heavy prime wethers, 30s to 31s lid; prime medium, 28s to 29s fid; others, 26s to 27s O'd; well finished light, 24s to 255; unfinished, to 235; prime maiden ewes, to-29s 6d; others, to 255; heavy prime ewes. 20s to 22s Gd; heavy, 18s to 19s fid; medium, Ills to 17s 9d; light, 14s to 15s fid; killnble, to 12s Gd: heavy prime lambs. 28s to 31s; lighter prime, 25s to, 27s fid; medium, 23s to 24s Gd; well-finished light, 20s to 22s 9d; others, to 18s.
