POVERTY BAY FEDERATION TRIP TO CONFERENCE At a meeting of the executive of the Poverty Bay Federation of Women’s Institutes, held recently, the following members were present: Mrs. P. F. Barker, president, Mesdames H. Allan, A. Barrow, Livingston, W. A. McCliskie, Twisletcn, R. Sherratt, C. V. Smith, J. Atkins, and Mazengarb, hon. secretary. An apology for absence was received from Mrs. D. Cumming. Mrs. W. A. McCliskie was elected delegate to represent the federation at the Dominion conference to be held in Wellington in July. Should there be sufficient inducement, arrangements will be made to obtain reduced travelling rates for members wishing to attend the conference.

The secretary reported i aving circularised the institutes on behalf of ihc Poverty Bay Worn oil’s Representation Committee regarding conations of soup, bread, sandwich fillings and cakes for the catering at the rodeo on June 1 These donations may be left at the Gisborne Garage. A delegates’ school, at which all Women’s Institute members will be welcome, is to be held in tne Bon Accord Lounge on June 28. commencing at 10.30 a.m.
