COMPETITION RESULTS

GISBORNE SUCCESSES Miss Bobbie Scott and her pupils are returning this week-end after a successful week at the Napier Competitions. Entries in all sections were large and of a high standard. In the under 15 class, Miss Elvira CourLnev was the winner of the Dorothy Daniels Cup given for the most marks gained for a Gisborne, Napier or Hastings competitor in the sections, operatic, skipping, classic, toe, character and character story dances. This is the second time that a cup for fancy dancing has been brought to Gisborne, the previous occasion being in 1937, when Miss Scott won two championships. At Hi is week’s competitions Miss Scott’s pupils won two first’ prizes, a second and 10 third awards.
