AMATEUR ATHLETICS
FINAL NIGHT SPORTS The attention of athletes was drawn to the visit of an Opotiki team to Gisborne to-morrow, when the committee of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club met last night. This final floodlight sports meeting of the season will take place on the Childers Road Reserve at 7.30 p.m. to-morrow. A full programme of events has been drawn up, and it has been decided to accept post entries. The committee expressed the hope that athletes would give their full co-operation and make the visit of the Opotiki team a success. Reports on the Tolaga Bay and Opotiki meetings, held recently, were received, and congratulations extended to the successful competitors.
