SALE AT FRANKTON There was a further decline in ox and cow beef prices at the Frankton stock sale on Wednesday, although prime quality heifer beef sold readily. Values for fat calves were slightly easier, while late rates were maintained for boner cattle. A smaller yarding of fat sheep than usual came forward, prices being slightly easier than last sale. Cattle. —Prime medium-weight bullocks sold from' £ll 17s Gd to £l2 7s Gd; medium weights, £lO 10s to £11: light weights, £9 10s to £lO Is; light and unfinished, to £8 15s; prime medium-weight heifers, £8 to £8 7s Gd: prime light, £7 to £7 15s; light and unfinished, £G to £6 17s Gd; heavy fat cows, £7 10s to £8 6s; medium weights. £6 10s to £7 ss; well-fin-ished light weights, £6 to £G 7s Gd; unfinished, to £5 15s. Sheep.—-Heavy prime wethers, 27s to 28s Gd; prime medium weights, 26s to '26s 9d; others, to 255; well-finished light-weights, to 24s 3d; unfinished, to 22s Gd; prime Southdown wethers, to 25s Gd; others, to 235; prime maiden ewes, to 23s 3d; others, to 21s; heavy fat ewes. 18s to 19s 3d; medium weights, IGs to 17s 6d; light weights, to 15s; killable, 12s Gd; heavy prime lambs, 28s to 30s; prime medium weights, 26s to 27s 9d; well-finished lighter weights, 23s to 24s Gd; light, to 225; heavy fat lambs (shorn), 23s to 24s 3d; others, to 21s.
