NAZI CONCENTRATION
SINGLE SHOT PLANE CLAIM TO 469 M.P.H. (Reed. March 28, 2.15 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, March 27. The Berlin correspondent of the Dutch paper De Telegraaf says that Germany is concentrating solely on the output of single-seat Messerschmitt 109 machines. The factories have begun mass production with the object of simplifying training replacements and repairs. The plane is armed with a machinegun firing through the propeller. An automatic quick-firing 20 millimetre gun is mounted on each side. It is claimed that this plane last year established a world record speed of 469 miles an hour.
