SECRETARY RESIGNS
EMPLOYERS’ FEDERATION POST WITH MINE OWNERS (Par Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. It is announced that Mr. T. O. Bishop has resigned from the position of secretary of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation to accept the fulltime post as secretary of the New Zealand Coal Mine Owners’ Association. Mr. Bishop has been secretary of both organisations since their amalgamation in 1922, but it was recently decided that the work involved in the administration of each body had reached the stage where individual secretaryships were required. He became industrial adviser to the Coal Mine Owners’ Association in 1921. With the amalgamation of the association and the federation in the following year he took over the dual position, which he has occupied ever since. The question of filling the vacant secretaryship of the federation has not yet been decided.
