PASSENGERS RESCUED CREW LATER REMOVED (Reed. March 1, 9 a.m.) LONDON,.Feb. 29. All the Ulster Queerfs 93 passengers, most of whom were women and children, were saved when the vessel, which was bound from Liverpool for Belfast, grounded off the Manx coast early yesterday morning. The Duke of Lancaster quickly responded to the vessel’s SOS and successfully took off the passengers. Lifebelts were issued immediately the ship struck, but there was no panic despite the pitch darkness. After unsuccessful attempts to refloat the vessel the crew of 50 were taken off by a breeches buoy.
