QUEEN AT CANTEENS
UPSETTING SCHEDULE GLASGOW A.R.P. TOUR TUMULTOUS WELCOME , (Reed. Mar. 1, 9 a.m,) - - LONDON, Feb. 29. Glasgow messages state that the Queen was inclined to linger at mobile canteens which Their ;.Majesties inspected during their visit to the Glasgow A.R.P. organisation. Finally when the schedule was threatened with a serious, upset, the King whispered to the Queen: “Don’t you think we have coffee-housed long enough?” At another canteen the Queen accepted a gift of three twopenny packets of chocolate and the King laughingly commented: “We seem to tie pinching all the stuff here.” However, the King left the richer by a packet of 20 cigarettes. The Clydeside workers tumultously welcomed Their Majesties.
