RING AMONG HERRINGS
A fisherman of Arbroath, Scotland, was distressed because lie lost a ring while packing herrings. It was a worn ring of plain gold which had belonged to his wife.
A fortnight later a plain gold ring was found in a box of herrings in a fish shop at Bootle, and the enterprising fishmonger made inquiries, with the result that the ring was returned lo the astonished fisherman.
