AIRMAN INJURED
MOTOR COLLISION
MR. J. H. LANGRIDGE
After having taken part in several air raids, in which lie was exposed to tiie utmost danger and escaped vvtihout a scratch, Wireless Operator J. 11. Langridge, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Langridge, Gisborne, suffered serious injuries in a recent motor accident in Essex. In a message dated December 19 it was reported that Mr. Langridge was in hospital, but was not dangerously ill.
Since the date of the accident the Gisborne man’s parents have had correspondence from him, but no mention has been made of the mishap. He indicated that he was quite well.
'The driver of the car at the time of Hie accident. Leading Aircraftsman John Naylor, aged 19, of Mansfield, Marlow, Bucks, was killed. The deceased was returning to his unit after six days’ special leave that had beer, awarded him for his part in a successful flight over Heligoland,
