NOTHING YET FIXED
MEETING OF PARLIAMENT ADJOURNED TO FEB. 8 (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. From inquiries made in responsible quarters yesterday, it is understood that up to the present no decision has been reached by the Government as to whether or not Parliament will resume its work on February 8, the date fixed when the House of Representatives adjourned on October 7. The adjournment was taken with the consent of the House, in view of the situation arising out of the war. Power was taken to summon Parliament at any time before February 8 if necessary. If nothing warrants the House being called together before that date, Parliament can be prorogued in the ordinary way.
