Pretty Wedding

Phillips—Twisleton Floral Setting Holy Trinity Church, Derby street, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Saturday evening, when Sheila, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Twisleton, Motu, was married to George Harrison, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Phillips, Napier. The church had been artistically decorated with bowls of blue hydrangeas, intermingled with training lycopodium, by friends of the bride and bridegroom.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. D. Hodgson, Te Karaka, and Mr. D. G. Dyer presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an exquisite gown of deep cream needlerun lace panelled back and front with matching satin. The bodice, cut with a high neckline, was accented down the front with tiny buttons, and the long lace sleeves were slightly puffed at the shoulder. Closely moulded at the hips and flared at the hemline, the skirt swept into a back panel of satin terminating in a graceful train.

A filmy veil of tulle, arranged as a halo and caught with tiny sprays of orange blossom, fell in soft folds to form a second train, and a sheaf of Christmas lilies, carnations and pale green zinnias completed an exceptionally charming toilette. Attractive Frocks The bride was attended by Miss Marjorie Brown, Auckland, her sisters, the Misses Peggy and Joan Twisleton, and Miss Janet Mclntyre. Each wore a frock of gold pony skin taffetas showing a fitting bodice peaked back and front at the waist and fastened down the back with tiny matching buttons. The neckline was heartshaped and the short puff sleeves were gauged. Gauging also ornamented the back of the flared skirt, which was cut with a slight train. A headdress ■of cream and gold gladioli was worn, and each bridesmaid carried a sheaf of gladioli and dahlias in similar shades and a gold sequin bag, the gift of the bridegroom. Pale green sandals and cream hose toned perfectly with the ensemble.

Mr. Roland Twisleton was best man, and Mr. Eric Phillips, Napier, and Mr. Hamilton Barlie were groomsmen. The duties of ushers were undertaken by Messrs. R. F. Jackson and S. Hodges. Dance Follows Reception

After the ceremony 100 guests were entertained at a delightful reception, followed by a dance, at Le Grand Cafe. The table decorations were artistically carried out in primrose and gold, the colour scheme toning with the frocks worn by the bridal party.

The customary toasts were honoured and the handsome two-tier primrose wedding cake, made by the bride’s mother, was cut by Ihc bride. The music was supplied by Miss Lena Rum.

Mrs. Twisleton, mother, of the bride, was wearing an elegant gown of blaek lace and georgette, and a model hat of matching straw. Her bouquet was of dahlias and fuchsias in shades of cyclamen and deep pink, with touches of delicate greenery. Mrs. W. J. Phillips chose a frock of nut-brown satin-backed marocain accented with a vestee of beige needlerun lace, and a straw hat to match, a bouquet of cream and ffame-colourecl dahlias, intermingled with gypsophila, completing her toilette. * Mrs. S. Hodges, sister of the bride,
