A.R.P. SAVES £14,000
LONDON, Dec. 1. Leicester A.R.P. authorities have sacked 100 paid messengers, engaged l'or use in the event of a telephone breakdown. Seven hundred volunteers are to man the service—saving £ 14,000 a year.
